Through our continual state of expansion, we now seek a dynamic Grant Writer who is interested in working within an exciting and innovative field.
More than $100 billion of the massive stimulus package is marked for education programs in both K-12 education and higher education, much of it through existing laws and programs such as Pell Grants, IDEA, and Title I. The largest education item is $20 billion for renovation and modernization of school buildings, which will include technology upgrades. Presentation Products, Inc. seeks an individual with grant writing experience to assist our education clients in obtaining and utilizing these stimulus dollars specifically for SMART board technology which is the first and most widely installed interactive whiteboard in the world.
Responsibilities include:
* Conduct continual prospect research for new funding opportunities
* Develop a plan to solicit annual grants on behalf of our education clients
* Research and write persuasive letters of inquiry, grant proposals, acknowledgments and reports for technology programs
* Closely monitor progress of all grant requests after they have been submitted and coordinate all necessary follow-up activities
* Draft reports and project updates
Qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in related field
* Business proposal and budget development exposure helpful
* Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently
